A shipping container as the foundation for a relaxation space? That’s exactly what Buro Den Elzen has created! Three years ago, they moved to a beautiful, tranquil location in nature. Soon, the idea emerged to build a retreat cottage – a place where people can escape the busyness of everyday life and reconnect with themselves.
The choice fell on a 20ft shipping container as a solid foundation for this unique transformation. Thanks to the container’s robust construction and flexibility, it became the perfect base for a compact and comfortable tiny house. K-tainer Trading B.V. had the privilege of supplying this container and was a reliable partner from start to finish.
With a pair of skilled hands, some YouTube tutorials, and occasional help from friends, the container was completely transformed in 1.5 years. The result? A tiny house with all modern comforts, perfect for relaxation and self-reflection.
