Bulk containers are often used to transport dry bulk goods such as grain, flour, sugar, salt, chemicals and mineral ores. These containers protect the goods against weather influences and reduce the risk of pollution.
These openings are usually circular in shape and have a lid that can be opened and closed.
Regardless of the type of cargo, it is essential to pay attention to the stability and even distribution of the load when loading bulk containers. Overloading must be avoided, and for liquid cargoes it is important to prevent leakage by using proper seals and safety measures
Emptying Bulk Goods
A tipping system is often used for bulk goods such as sand, gravel or building materials. The container is tilted, allowing the cargo to flow out. This can be done manually or using special tipping trailers.
There is a hatch at the bottom of the container, also called the letterbox
