About new containers
When ordering new containers, you often have the option to choose from various specifications, such as the type of flooring, the type of handles, and the number of air vents. This allows you to customize containers to your specific needs and the nature of the cargo you intend to transport.
Ordering custom containers typically requires a specific quote.
- 20ft container: This container can be tailored to your specific requirements, including the type of flooring (e.g., wood, metal), the number and location of air vents, and the type of handles (e.g., traditional handles, easy opening, low or high handles). Additionally, you can have the container produced in a color of your choice.
- 40ft Standard / High Cube container: This container offers additional height compared to standard containers and is ideal for transporting voluminous cargo. You can customize the features of this container, including the flooring, handles, air vents, and color.
- Reefer container: If you need to transport perishable goods, you can opt for a reefer container. These containers are equipped with cooling and freezing systems to control the temperature of the cargo. You can customize the specifications of the reefer container to meet your requirements, such as the temperature range, lighting, and internal partition.
- Open top container: These containers have no fixed roof, making them ideal for transporting cargo that exceeds the height of the container. You can choose from various options, such as the flooring, the cover for the open top, and the color of the container.
- Flatrack container: This type of container has no fixed side walls and roof, making it suitable for transporting heavy or oversized cargo. Flatrack containers have sturdy corner reinforcements and can be supplied in various lengths and widths.
- Tank container: Tank containers are designed for the safe transportation of liquids and gases. They are equipped with a tank within the container frame and can be customized for different types of cargoes, such as chemicals, foodstuffs, or fuels.
- Open side container: This type of container has one or more side walls that can be fully opened, allowing easy access to the cargo. Open side containers are convenient for loading and unloading goods that do not fit through the normal door opening or for situations where quick access to the cargo is required.
One-way containers are often used for international transport, where they are shipped from the production facility to the destination in Europe and then not returned to their original location. In most cases, they are transported from China to Rotterdam, where the containers are not reloaded for further shipments after unloading in Rotterdam.
