What we see every day from our office in Rotterdam is more than just ships and containers. It is a port that is constantly moving forward and being developed in a smarter and more sustainable way.

In and around the Waalhaven you can see impressive logistics in action. Last Friday, a vessel arrived carrying hull sections for new ships. A remarkable sight, a ship full of ships. It shows how large, specialised and complex this port truly is.

At K-tainer, we find it inspiring to work in this beating heart of Rotterdam. Here, innovation and efficiency come together, from new hull sections to custom made containers. Practical, forward looking and always in motion, just like the port itself.

Open Top containers: 20ft and 40ft

Sometimes a standard container is not enough. Our Open Top containers are the ideal solution for projects or cargo that requires a different way of transport or storage.

The containers are modified from original box containers and are available for purchase or rental. They are fitted with a new tarpaulin and sealing rope. They also come with a CSC certificate valid for 30 months, issued by a certified organisation and extendable worldwide.

We have both 20ft and 40ft Open Top containers in stock and are happy to think along with you about the best solution for your project.

Working together on broad prosperity

K-tainer Trading BV had the opportunity to contribute to a study by the Knowledge Centre for Business Innovation on broad prosperity.

We enjoy working with students and universities. It brings fresh insights and shows how our industry operates in practice. For both the students and our team, it is a valuable exchange of knowledge and experience.

The students examined how companies create impact on People, Planet and Profit and what role government policy plays in this. Their findings show that small and medium sized businesses can contribute to broad prosperity in many ways, often in ways you might not expect.

We would like to thank the students and all participating companies for their dedication and sharp analysis. We look forward to the second part of the project, where new insights and practical recommendations will be shared for businesses and governments.

New containers are on their way. Built according to our quality standards, with extra comfort and ease of use such as easy opening doors and additional air vents.

Available in different colours, including RAL 5010, 7016 and 6007.
